2018. szeptember 8-9-én került megrendezésre a 3. Jackson Kayak BoddenBash Kayakfishing fesztivál, melyem egy 6 fős magyar különítmény képviselte hazánkat.
Szerda hajnalban indultunk, hosszú út várt ránk Schaprode településig. Két kocsi két utánfutóval kezdte meg az 1200 km-es utat. 15 órán át faltuk a kilómétereket, de a végén bár fáradtan, de izgatottan parkoltunk le a Bodden partján található kempingben. Már sötétedett, mikor nekiálltunk a sátrak felállításának. Igyekeztünk, bár egyik szemünk folyamatosan a vizet pásztázta, hátha az esti fényekben még látunk valamit. Gondolotban már mindenki a holnapi pecánál járt.
A bázis
A csütörtök reggeli kávé után lázas készülődés kezdődött. Kajakok felszerelése, botok, csalik előkészítése, és persze folyamatos diskurzus, hogy ki milyen csalit vet be először.
Reggeli készülődés
Az leső napon a szélcsendes időt látva úgy döntöttünk, hogy a kemping előtti nagy szabad vízterületet próbáljuk. Készültünk a klasszikus nagygumis csukázásra, de a boddeni csukák valahogy nem igazán díjazták ezt a fajta tevékenységünket. Valahogy nem voltak étvágyuknál. Azt azért el kell mondani, hogy nagyon meleg volt. A 20 fok feletti nappali csúcshőmérséklet és a folyamatosan apadó vízszint ( volt olyan nap, hogy 20 centit apadt a vízszint) semmiképp sem erősítettette a csukák kapókedvét, amihez még a légnyomás drasztikus ingadozása is hozzájárulhatott. Szóval kerestük a halat.
A Bodden egyébként a csapósügér állományáról is híres, így 1-2 óra nagycsalis peca után a helyi információkra hagyatkozva váltottunk, és a csapókra kezdtünk koncentrálni. Ennek meg is lett az eredménye, mert a sügerek viszont elemükben voltak. A boddeni csapók átlagmérete 20-30 centi között van, de szép számmal akadnak 40+-os sügerek is, sőt egy német kollégának sikerült elcsípnie egy 52cm-es példányt is. Miután megtaláltuk azt a helyet, ahol igen szép számban tartózkodtak, élménypeca kerekedett. A szél közben felerősödött, így mivel nem lehetett horgonyt használni, folyamatosan drifteltünk a sügerek tartózkodási helye körül, amit ők folyamatos kapásokkal háláltak meg. A kisebb csalik persze felkeltették a növendék csukák érdeklődését is, akik a nagyobb társaikkal ellentétban nem kímélték a sügereknek szánt csalikat. Hihetetlenül jó az utánpótlás.
Persze némi bénázás is színesítette a napot, ugyanis addig állítgattam a kamerát, míg végül sikerült a kamera látőszögét is leredukálnom, amit csak az este a képek letöltésénél vettem észre....
A legnagyobb csapóm 34cm-es volt.

Késő délután egyszercsak egy határozott ütést követően a bevágásnál majdnem megijedtem. Egy termetesebb hal erejét éreztem a zsinór végén. Na itt a csuka! Derekasan küzdött, de sikerült szákba terelni egy szűk 80-as csuxot.
